Course Description

Teacher in Charge: A. Hagan.

Course Highlights: Acting for classmates, costume and make up, props and set.  Learning about New Zealand values and way of life through theatre.

 

Vocational Pathway: Creative Industries.

 

This course can lead to: a career in performance, stage technologies, costume and prop creation, film, TV, journalism, marketing, Communications and Public Relations, teaching, Police, social work, politics, law.

Recommended Prior Learning

Pre-Requisites: Students need to be able to manage themselves and relate to others well.  It would be helpful if students enjoyed Year 10 Drama.  Students will have to write reflections about their own and other “live” performances. They will create Drama on stage over three topics.
