Vocational Pathways
Course Title: Pathways, Gateway and Trades L2 and L3
In order for students to gain Vocational Pathways endorsements and to gain work experience Year 12 and 13 students have the following options available.

Gateway
The Gateway Programme will be available for students seeking work experience in their chosen Career Pathway. Gateway Placements are available to all senior students. The Placement can be in conjunction with a Pathways Course or over and above for a student with a full NCEA course. These students will need to demonstrate work readiness and a desire to complete at least 40 hours in a workplace along with 20 industry based credits.

Taratahi Agriculture Trades Academy (PITA)
The Waikato Trades Academy is the result of some clever thinking by Waikato secondary schools, local employers and WINTEC. A place at the Trades Academy allows 12 and 13 students to study at WINTEC and school, getting the benefits of both worlds.
Te Aroha College in conjunction with WINTEC have 20 places available for the Waikato Trades Academy in 2018 from the following courses:
