Course highlights: Te Reo Māori is a unique language of Aotearoa, providing individuals an insight into Te Ao Māori - the Māori World View. Te Reo Māori compliments Kapa Haka, allowing you to learn and explore Te Ao Māori, learning local waiata and haka. This course is different from previous years as there will be a strong emphasis on kapa haka and the exponents and champions of Kapa Haka. Students will have the opportunity to develop and individual learning programme working towards a selection of the standards offered above. Research famous people, develop better understanding of biculturalism and Te Reo Māori. Learn a number of local waiata, haka and be confident to speak, research, explore, parts of Aotearoa.

This course can lead to: Many more employment opportunities, better understanding of New Zealand and what it means to be a New Zealander.
